Awkard picture is awkward because i had to stand on my rolly chair and hold my camera up to the ceiling so i could take this picture and I didn't want to fall and die. It's as big as my bed :[
gotta render the TRANSFORMERS in chrome, and then glue everythign together, and then add some final highlights and shadows to pop the guys out. They're sort of being overwhemled by the BG.
did you plan to add chalk? or do you just not have any nupastels?

ReplyDeleteI was talking about the robot. It seems like it's red and black with a little bit of green reflective light. However, the robot is reflective. It should be reflecting brown from the ground, blue from the planet, and various colors from space. The additional color should make your robot look cooler and pop out more.
ReplyDeleteBut - you told me you didn't really like Tony's style. So maybe you just don't like things to be as flashy and stuff. I know you don't really like colorful... so...
Regardless, I dug through my old things, and I found this from 6 years ago. I posted it on my blog just to show you. It's not that good, but it was my first canson. I used yellow, red, and purple to reflect the sunset on the robot. I also used turquoise to reflect the energy blast. The gouache was a little much - but it was fun to do.
