Composition exercises - 4 items of hair care product, kitchenware product, branded/redesigned, money shot
Paul Mitchell hair care - tall bottle, medium bottle, jar, tube OXO good grips kitchenware FYI that's a whisk, peeler, mandolin, and chopper (SLAP CHOP)
CDA classes are sweet. I had character design last night and we drew from a live model of a guy in a pirate costume, trying to capture his character. Fun stuff.
Here are my other 4 (failed) how-tos... jesus i'm terrible. Comps next week. Crapload of homework now. Gotta do some vehicles and mechs today and some figure drawing stuff/character tomorrow.
Had figure drawing and vehicles and mechs. Teachers are both pretty damn baller. Figure drawing teacher really knows how to teach. Also the model was top notch. Really nice poses.
Vehicles homework is to design a caravan to transport goods to colonies during the future colonization of Mars that seats 1-2 pilots. Really broad. I'll get started on that Thursday/Friday.
Figure drawing is just proportions/memorizing stuff. I'll also do that later this week.
Still working on how-tos. I really messed this one up. Bad color choice for arrows so it doesn't pop. Sad :[. Well, 4 more to get better at rendering and stuff.
If you're free, check out Andy Chung's badass marker renderings for Terminator and Aliens: http://www.acsketch.blogspot.com/ Really sick stuff.
I was in a super rush and made a stupid martini glass that the teacher said looked like a chicken leg. The original one was way better.
The next project in product design is a styling exercise where we have to develop a new way to stylize something that is elegant, heavy-duty, whimsical, or sporty via some non-functional 6"x6"x6" sculptures. I'm going to die.
Thumbnails for tonight's homework: CDA classes start this weekend, I'm psyched (but my wallet is not, and neither is my body because I gotta bike 2 miles with giant newsprint pads and drawing boards). Tonight in advanced sketching is composition exercises which are supposed to be a bietch.
