Week 3 - Thumbnails and owned by crit

Well not really owned, but my arrows were only "okay". Needed more contrast and flamboyancy. Gotta own this next assignment: thumbnails.

Same drill, 60 of them. 70-80% rendered. Thumbnails are a way to highlight/callout/bright attention to some place of interest. Just using speedforms(flowforms at CMU) as temporary objects for practice.

That's the Adobe logo, fyi.

This is very ACCD-y stuff. 5 more pages to go.

Demos by the more advanced students in the class:

Week 3 (half of it, so i guess 2.5) - Arrows and more martinis

Finished 60 arrow renderings on 14x17 marker paper. Took a good 6-7 hours. Jesus.
Art Center loves the arrows apparently. My instructors website: http://howcanyoubedown.com. It's still under construction and mostly has his students stuff on there. But the student work is pretty damn good for people who.. are in high school / have no design background.

Martini Glass project. My solution for the first crit. Project extended so we can come up with better concepts because other people's concepts were not so good.

Yeah. Advanced sketching today (it's 4am) at 7pm... Next project is a project on thumbnails. Should be new and interesting.

Week 2 - Arrows and Martini glasses

I have to design a martini glass. I don't really like doing it. Everything I designed is like... poop.

1st week homework to show Tony what we could do. It turned out like shit. Shouldn't have done a green suit.

Classes have started at ACAN

START OF AN ADVENTURE!
This is my cube and cylinder before this class. We'll see how I am in 3 months.

Yeah, basic stuff so far. Product Design teacher is sweet (good talker). Sketching teacher will rape me up the butt. This weeks homework for him is to surprise him with one page. PD home work is lines and ellipses and cubes and etc.
